GET YOURSELF PREPARED FOR SHABBAT THAT BEGINS THIS EVENING AT SUNSET.
Our fathers in Yisrayah taught us that the Sixth Day is Shabbat preparation Day (Mark 15:42) because it is meant for us to complete all necessary work before the Sabbath begins.
Exodus 16:23 admonishes us:
“Tomorrow is a Sabbath rest, Set Apart Sabbath to YAHWEH. Bake what you will bake today (i.e. Friday), and boil what you will boil; and lay up for yourselves all that remains, to be kept until morning.”
We are called to prepare our foods and drinks; boil, fry, and cook our foods before sunset today, as well as clean our homes, and finish our tasks today, before evening at sunset in the Evening. If we fail to finish all the work in time, we will push them into Shabbat rest, and that will mean defiling the Shabbat Day. When sunset comes this evening, all the work stops. YAHSHUA and the Disciples never broke the Shabbat; rather, they kept it as commanded by YAH. Therefore, let’s follow our Saviour’s example. If we begin to cook, buy, or do house chores on the Shabbat Day, that will mean a violation of the commandment which says: “Remember the Sabbath day, to keep it holy” (Exodus 20:8). No buying and selling, no personal pleasures, no distant travelling on this hallowed Day of YAH. Nehemiah rebuked those who profaned the Shabbat, travelling long distances to sell their wares in Jerusalem on the Holy Day (Nehemiah 13:15-22). Failure to adequately prepare for Shabbat results in disobedience to keeping it holy. Shabbat Day is a REST DAY, sanctified by YAHWEH, and commanded to be kept by all His obedient children. It gives Abba YAHWEH joy when HE sees His children obey Him and honour His instructions.
Therefore:
- Conclude food preparations and cooking today before sunset.
- Tidy your house and make it clean.
- After sunset, avoid work, buying, selling, and personal pleasures.
- Set your heart unto YAHWEH in prayer, worship, and reading the Word.
- Wake up early in the morning and get ready for Shabbat Service.
- Let your heart, soul, and mind be ready to meet with your Creator, YAHWEH.
- Rejoice and be glad in His presence (this is also His commandment).
If we truly obey YAHWEH and YAHSHUA, our FATHER will reciprocate our love, and HE will certainly bless us with His blessings of good things of life, as HE promised. All His blessings come when we are in obedience. YAHWEH our FATHER does not forget. HE rewards those who serve Him with good things of life, including sound health.
HAPPY PREPARATION DAY!
HAPPY SHABBAT
MAY ABBA YAH BLESS YOU.
